He was one of the co-founders of DeRemate, an online marketplace for Latin America that was acquired by Mercado Libre, and afterwards built a startup studio in Brazil with expertise in real estate and travel. He and Grinda pooled their angel investing activity in 2009, received 50 million dollars of exclusive funding from Telenor in 2016, and by 2023 the firm had raised 260 million dollars across a pre-seed fund and an opportunity fund. FJ Labs states that it does not lead rounds, price rounds or take board seats.
