Biography

Jason Whitmire is a co-founder and general partner at BlueYard Capital, the early-stage venture firm he started with Ciaran O'Leary in 2016 after the two left Earlybird Venture Capital, where he was a general partner between 2010 and 2015. His earlier background includes work with the US State Department and operational roles in product management, sales and marketing in the semiconductor and software sectors. He led BlueYard's Series A investments in SpaceKnow and AirTM and sits on the board of quantum computing company SEEQC as a BlueYard representative. BlueYard remains active, with Newcomer reporting in January 2026 on the firm's fund returns and its five general partners.
