Biography

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji co-founded two of Africa's first true unicorns before he ever became an investor - Andela, the continent's largest engineering talent organization, backed by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Google Ventures, and SoftBank, and Flutterwave, the payments company he led as founding CEO through explosive early growth, processing more than $2 billion across 50 million transactions before stepping down in 2018. He founded Future Africa in March 2019, formalizing investment activity he'd been planning since 2015, built specifically to provide capital, coaching, and community to mission-driven African founders rather than capital alone. Describing himself as a faith-driven investor, Aboyeji has grown Future Africa into Africa's largest seed-stage investment platform, with a portfolio of more than 100 companies collectively valued above $6 billion, while continuing to build directly - co-founding Itana, a digital free zone project in Lagos, in 2022.
