Founder & Managing Partner at Energy Impact Partners · Joined 2015
View Live Interactive Profile →Hans Kobler built his career at the intersection of energy, industrial technology, and finance before founding Energy Impact Partners in 2015. After consulting at Bain & Company, he pioneered General Electric's strategic investment model and led its Power technology investment effort, then founded Digital Power Capital and co-founded ICx Technologies, a sensor technology company he led as CEO and Chairman through a successful Nasdaq IPO and eventual strategic sale. That operator-investor combination shaped EIP's distinctive model: a coalition of more than 30 global energy companies invests alongside the fund, giving portfolio companies direct commercial access to utilities and industrial players that might otherwise take years to reach. EIP's 2017 partnership with industrial cybersecurity company Dragos became one of Kobler's clearest recent proof points, once Accenture acquired a majority stake in the company at a $3.2 billion valuation.
