Biography

Gene Frantz is a general partner at CapitalG who joined the firm at its inception in 2013 and invests in cybersecurity and enterprise technology. CapitalG states that his investments at the firm have achieved nine major exits, including four IPOs, and are worth more than $125B, and names CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Freshworks and Looker among them. Before CapitalG he led technology and telecommunications investments for the private equity firm TPG Capital and for Oracle Corporation's venture capital group, and prior to Oracle he served as a vice president at Morgan Stanley. He holds a B.S. from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University.
