View Live Interactive Profile →Gaurav Garg brought a rare founder-to-investor path to Wing Venture Capital when he co-founded the firm with Peter Wagner in 2013. After early engineering roles at SynOptics and Bay Networks, he founded Redback Networks in 1996 and took it public in 1999, then spent 2001 to 2012 as a partner at Sequoia Capital, where he helped build FireEye and Jasper from early stages and served on boards for more than ten years each. In between, he founded Ruckus Wireless in 2002 and guided it to its own 2012 IPO - giving him operating experience building two public companies from scratch, not just investing in others. That builder's instinct shows up directly in Wing's long-duration, company-building posture with founders, and in its highest-profile bet: Wing was a first-check investor in Snowflake years before its 2020 IPO, which valued the data cloud company at over $70 billion on its first day of trading.
