Biography

Fred Ehrsam co-founded Paradigm with Matt Huang in 2018, after co-founding Coinbase in 2012 and serving as its President until 2017. He began his career as a foreign exchange trader at Goldman Sachs in New York and bought his first Bitcoin in 2011, later becoming an angel investor in early cryptocurrency companies. Paradigm's site now lists him as Co-Founder and Senior Advisor rather than on its investing and research team, and his bio there describes him as Co-Founder and CEO of Nudge, a neurotechnology company building non-invasive brain-computer interfaces. He remains a member of the Coinbase board and serves on the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
