David Coats is managing director and co-founder of Correlation Ventures. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in biology from Princeton and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He spent his early career in life-sciences venture capital and as a medical-device entrepreneur - founding Spine Wave, leading Forge Medical Ventures and serving as managing director of Hamilton BioVentures - before co-founding Correlation Ventures, where he originated its predictive-analytics approach to venture investing.
