Dany Farha built a career as a serial entrepreneur in Dubai for nearly two decades before co-founding BECO Capital - starting at Lehman Brothers in London, then returning to the UAE in 1995 to build and exit a string of companies including Bayt.com, the Arab world's largest job site, Butlers, and Interact. That founder-first background shaped BECO's identity when he co-founded it in 2012 with Abdulaziz Shikh Al Sagha and Yousef Hammad, building what became the longest-serving Dubai-based VC firm investing in the MENA digital sector. Farha personally led BECO's early backing of Careem, the ride-hailing company Uber acquired for $3.1 billion in 2019 - one of two billion-dollar-plus exits in the firm's track record, alongside Property Finder. Under his leadership BECO has grown into the largest non-government early-stage venture firm in the Gulf, managing more than $820 million across five funds spanning Pre-Seed through pre-IPO.
