Biography

Christophe F. Maire is the founder of Atlantic and is named in the firm's Impressum as a managing director of Atlantic Labs Manager GmbH in Berlin. Atlantic's approach page states the firm traces its roots to Maire's angel investing activity, which was institutionalised into a fund manager in 2016 when Marc-Olivier Lücke joined; the two describe having invested side by side for more than a decade. German trade publication deutsche-startups.de identifies him as the founder of gate5, the Berlin mapping software company later acquired by Nokia. He is also associated with the separate food and agriculture vehicle FoodLabs / Atlantic Food Labs, which raised a EUR 100m fund announced in October 2021. Atlantic's own team page lists him under 'Investors' but publishes no individual job title, and no education details are published on the firm site.
