Biography

Bruce Booth studied biochemistry at Penn State before earning a DPhil in molecular immunology from Oxford as a British Marshall Scholar, then worked as a McKinsey consultant advising pharmaceutical and biotech clients on R&D productivity before joining Atlas Venture in 2005. He has since co-founded and served as founding CEO of Kymera Therapeutics and Nimbus Therapeutics, the latter selling its TYK2 inhibitor program to Takeda for a $4 billion upfront payment in 2022 - one of biotech venture's largest single-asset licensing deals. Booth has chaired numerous Atlas portfolio companies through IPO and acquisition, including AvroBio's NASDAQ listing and Vigil Neuroscience's acquisition by Sanofi, and has become one of biotech venture's most influential public voices through his LifeSciVC blog, syndicated on Forbes since 2011, where he publishes widely-read annual predictions and analysis on the biotech funding landscape.
