Biography

Amit Anand has spent 25 years as a pioneer of South and Southeast Asia's venture capital industry, starting in sales and business development at Progress Software before founding Ettamina Studios, a Singapore-India animation studio, in 2006. He co-founded Jungle Ventures in 2012 with a modest $10 million debut fund, growing the firm's assets under management 100-fold over the following decade into the first independent Singapore-headquartered venture firm investing across Southeast Asia and India to cross $1 billion. Anand has personally sourced and mentored the firm's first four unicorns - Moglix, Kredivo, Livspace, and Builder.ai - and led earlier exits including Zipdial's sale to Twitter and TradeGecko's acquisition by Intuit. A Kauffman Fellow and former Vice Chairman of the Business Angels Network of Southeast Asia, he now sits on Singapore's Government Advisory Council on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence and Data.
