Biography

Alan O'Connell is a Partner at Seroba, which he joined in 2003. Before Seroba he held product and business development roles at Elan Corporation in Dublin and American Biogenetic Sciences in New York, and worked in the Pharmacovigilance section of the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. His earlier venture capital experience was at Estée Lauder Investments in New York, and he sits on the scientific advisory board of the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation. He currently serves on the boards of Shorla Pharma and Artica Therapeutics and as an observer at Complement Therapeutics. His prior boards include Fusion Pharmaceuticals (acquired by AstraZeneca), Prexton Therapeutics (acquired by Lundbeck) and Veryan Medical (acquired by Otsuka Medical).
