Second Century Ventures is the strategic investment arm of the National Association of REALTORS and, per NAR's own technology page, a wholly owned subsidiary of the association operated by NAR's Strategic Business, Innovation and Technology group. It describes itself as an early to mid-stage technology fund investing across real estate, financial, insurance and home tech verticals, and names its stated focus areas as AI and real estate, digital platforms and marketplaces, fintech and insurtech applied to real estate, and technologies with utility across multiple verticals; its About page groups these as Digital Experience, Artificial Intelligence and Security. It states that its portfolio companies gain direct access to NAR's membership channels, Realtor Benefits, education programmes and the Realtors Property Resource. Alongside investing it created and operates REACH, a technology scale-up programme, which runs in eight named regional programmes: US Residential, US Commercial, Canada, Latin America, United Kingdom, Israel, Australia and New Zealand, and the Middle East. REACH is a programme, not a fund, and selection into a REACH cohort is not stated by the firm to be an investment.
Second Century Ventures creates REACH, its technology scale-up programme; the SCV homepage states "In 2013, SCV created REACH" and NAR's REACH page dates the programme to 2013.

REACH expands beyond US residential to add a US commercial programme and begins its international expansion, per SCV's 14 May 2025 announcement, which states "Since 2019, REACH has expanded to offer a program focused on the U.S. commercial market, and six global programs".

On 6 December 2022 Second Century Ventures announces that Ashley Stinton has been appointed executive director of the NAR REACH programme.

Second Century Ventures Fund I, LP records its date of first sale as 17 July 2024 and files a SEC Form D on 31 July 2024 reporting a $300,000,000 total offering with $75,000,000 sold; the Delaware limited partnership gives NAR's 430 N Michigan Avenue, Chicago address and names Dave Garland, Mark Birschbach and Tyler Thompson as Managing Directors of the general partner, Second Century Ventures GP I, LLC.
