Prosus Ventures, formerly Naspers Ventures, is the early-stage investing arm of Prosus, one of the world's largest technology investors with roots tracing back to South African media company Naspers. Founded in 2015, the fund focuses deliberately on high-growth emerging markets - Latin America, India, and Southeast Asia - investing in fintech, logistics, edtech, foodtech, and AI services that complement Prosus's broader portfolio of controlled businesses like iFood and PayU. That structural advantage, leveraging Prosus's global operating network and subsidiary integrations rather than capital alone, has helped Prosus Ventures make more than 230 investments to date, deploying over $400 million in FY25 across more than 40 new deals, under the strategic direction of Prosus CEO Fabricio Bloisi, himself the founder who built iFood into Latin America's dominant food delivery platform before Prosus acquired it outright in 2022.
