Primo Capital is an Italian asset manager whose legal name on its own site is "Primo Capital SGR S.p.A.". It was called Primo Ventures SGR until late 2024: the Italian trade outlet BeBeez reported on 6 November 2024 that "Primo Ventures sgr, fondata e presieduta da Gianluca Dettori, uno dei veterani del venture capital italiano, si trasforma in Primo Capital sgr", alongside the launch of its first private equity fund, Primo Health, which the same report put at a first closing of EUR 64 million against a EUR 120 million target with backing from the European Investment Fund, the Italian Investment Fund and the ENPAM Foundation. The firm's own homepage states "Investment Strategies: 4", "Funds: 6" and "Committed Capital: 514M"; committed capital is not the same as assets under management and has not been recorded as AUM. Its footer gives a registered office at Piazza Borromeo 14, Milan, share capital of "Cap. Soc. EUR 500.000 i.v.", tax code and VAT number 09168310960, Milan Chamber of Commerce R.E.A. number 2073779, and registration "all'Albo dei gestori di FIA al n. 151" (the Italian register of alternative investment fund managers). It also lists offices at Viale Majno 18 in Milan and Via del Consolato 6 in Rome.
