Pelion is an early-stage technology venture firm based in Utah. Its own January 2025 fund post states that "Fund 8 will focus on leading series A rounds in exceptional startups. We also have a seed program to support founders at the earliest stages, and we will invest at the Series B and C round as well." Its August 2024 post on the seed programme states "our Seed Program will make $1-3m investments into much earlier-stage companies", that "We are generalists both geographically and by sector" and that the firm "will invest in any geo in the US, with a particular emphasis on Utah", while being "particularly excited about vertical AI applications, marketplaces, security/infrastructure, and fintech". The same post names Chad Packard, Sterling Snow and Tyler Hogge as the leads of the seed programme. The firm states that about 50 percent of its recent investments have a Utah tie. Pelion also acts, through Pelion MV GP, L.L.C., as general partner of the former Medici Ventures portfolio, a separate blockchain-focused limited partnership in which Overstock.com is the limited partner.
