Orbit describes itself as "Scaling breakthrough technologies across emerging and frontier markets." Its stated geography is Southeast and South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, and it frames this on the basis of having invested in high-growth markets such as China and India for the last two decades and seeing the same wave of technology adoption in those regions. Orbit runs an accelerator programme alongside its investing: at launch under SOSV the programme invested $150,000 per company at early stage up to Series A, in roughly four cohorts a year. Its current named programme is the Sanabil Accelerator by Orbit, a joint initiative with Sanabil Investments that gives each participating company $100,000 in initial funding with access to follow-on investment, alongside a four-month programme centred on sales growth, go-to-market execution and product acceleration. Orbit states it works with a network of mentors and corporate partners and runs Growth Summits, business development trips and demo days. The firm's own pages state no sector focus; its stated focus is geographic and stage-based rather than sectoral.
