Next Coast Ventures is a venture firm founded in 2015 by Mike Smerklo and Thomas Ball, both Co-Founder and Managing Director. Its own site states it was "Built by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs" and puts serving entrepreneurs at the centre of the firm. Alongside the investment and operations teams it publishes a group of Venture Partners drawn largely from operating roles at other companies, and says founders get access to an expert network of more than 150 individuals. The site publishes no AUM figure, no fund sizes and no stated sector list.
