byFounders is an early-stage venture firm operating from Copenhagen and Stockholm and, in its own words, "investing in globally ambitious teams connected to the Nordic and Baltic countries". The firm was introduced in a post on its own site dated 4 September 2017 by founding partners Eric Lagier and Tommy Andersen, which describes a "for founders by founders" fund covering Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Its distinguishing structure is the Collective, which the homepage says "consists of 40+ of some of the most accomplished Nordic and Baltic founders and operators". The homepage states that the firm "takes an impact-aware approach to investing and working with the broader startup ecosystem" and that, "Known for our founder-friendly terms, we first and foremost invest in you as a founder". It refers to an "8T Framework" for investment decisions without setting out its contents.
