Axeleo Capital is a French AIF management company licensed by the Autorite des marches financiers (licence GP-17000006) that runs two stated strategies. Its Digital Venture strategy enters at pre-seed and seed with initial tickets of €0.5M to €3M and up to €10M including follow-ons, in France and Europe, across cybersecurity, data sovereignty, cloud-native resilience and high-performance systems; AI Ops, LLM orchestration, engineering productivity and intelligent workflows; embedded finance, real-time rails, autonomous treasury and vertical OS; and deeptech computing, Bio-AI, sensing and autonomous systems. Its Greentech Industry strategy enters at Series A and B at the industrialisation stage with initial tickets of €3M to €10M and follow-on capacity above €15M, financing what the firm calls the first industrial plants (FOAK) of post-R&D greentech companies in energy, chemicals and materials, food and agriculture, and mobility. The firm states it was born from a carve-out of Axeleo, a B2B tech startup accelerator launched in Lyon in 2013, and that it is independent and employee owned.

2017
Axeleo Capital is founded in January 2017 by Eric Burdier and Mathieu Viallard, and is licensed as a manager of Alternative Investment Funds by the French Autorite des marches financiers in March 2017 under licence number GP-17000006.
2019
Axeleo Capital's first fund closes at $51 million (€45 million), reported by TechCrunch on 18 March 2019, with LPs including Bpifrance through French Tech Acceleration, the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, Vinci Energies, Credit Agricole, BNP Paribas and Caisse d'Epargne Rhone-Alpes.
2021
Cyber Booster, a cybersecurity startup studio funded by the Programme d'investissements d'avenir and operated by Bpifrance, is announced on 15 December 2021; the French government states it is carried by four structures: Axeleo, Axeleo Capital, le Poool and Go Capital.
2023
AXC2 holds its final closing at €73 million in December 2023.
2024
Axeleo GreenTech Industry I holds a first closing at €125 million in November 2024 against a €250 million target, with Veolia investing €30 million alongside Bpifrance and Credit Mutuel Alliance Federale.

The firm publishes a new visual identity and website on 11 June 2026, stating "The identity is new. The website is new." with no change of legal name.
