Ribbit Capital

Micky Malka founded Ribbit Capital in 2012 after a career spent building brokerages and banks rather than software companies - he helped build Patagon.com, which Santander acquired in 2000, then co-founded Banco Lemon, later acquired by Banco do Brasil. That regulated-finance operating background, rather than a conventional Silicon Valley career arc, is what made Ribbit the premier financial-services specialist in venture capital, backing category leaders globally from a first $100 million fund in 2013. The firm's public messaging has since broadened well past 'fintech' into global commerce, money movement, identity, data, energy, AI, and wealth management, but the through-line is unchanged: Coinbase, Nubank, and Robinhood are all Ribbit bets, and its March 2026 Form ADV reports approximately $20.78 billion in regulatory assets under management.

TCV

TCV was founded in 1995 by Jay Hoag and Rick Kimball as the original crossover investor - the first firm to invest in both public and private technology companies from the same fund, a structure the 'Crossover' in its original name (Technology Crossover Ventures) still reflects. That willingness to follow winners across the private-to-public transition, rather than exiting at IPO, is what produced Jay Hoag's three-decade board seat at Netflix, which he joined in 1999 when TCV owned roughly 43% of the company pre-IPO. The firm has since invested more than $17 billion across 350-plus technology companies worldwide, supporting more than 145 IPOs and strategic acquisitions including Facebook, Airbnb, Spotify, Zillow, and Expedia, and now manages approximately $24 billion.
