Angel investor
Simon Thorpe is a UK angel investor based in Cambridge and a qualified Chartered Accountant who spent a 25 year career in the City working in equity research, sales and capital markets. In October 2009 he was appointed a designated member of Delta2020 LLP, registered at the Bradfield Centre on Cambridge Science Park, which Inngot describes as an investment, consulting and mentoring company he established. He was voted UKBAA's Angel Investor of the Year 2016/2017 and is a Fellow of Entrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business School. He was a director of Cambridge Angels Group Ltd from March 2019 to September 2023 and took up the chair of Cambridge Angels in 2020; he remains an individual member of the group, and is also a member of Manchester Angels and Angel Academe. His own company page describes him as an active angel investor in UK companies focused on technology and technology enabled healthcare.
