Angel investor and non-executive director
Richard Little read Arabic at the University of Cambridge and joined Burroughs as a salesman in 1979. In 1982 he co-founded Braid Systems Ltd with Geoff Chapman; after an unsuccessful terminal-emulator product the company pivoted to telex software and later messaging middleware, operated for seventeen years across London, the United States and Asia, and was sold. Artclear, where he is a non-executive director, describes him as an "Angel investor and entrepreneurial non-executive director in software and services businesses". In a May 2021 Archives of IT oral-history interview he named Thought Machine, Form3, Century-Tech and Transversal among his investments, said a typical first investment is "about 100 grand", and said five is his optimum number of boards, of which he chairs three.
