Background

Nancy Hayes is an angel investor and management consultant based in San Francisco. She left IBM after 20 years as a senior executive, then served as CEO of the STARBRIGHT Foundation and as CEO and President of WISE Senior Services, before spending six years as dean of the College of Business at San Francisco State University and then as its CFO and Vice President of Administration. In 2013 she co-founded MoolaHoop, a rewards-based crowdfunding platform for women-owned small businesses, and she has been an active angel investor since 2014; a 2022 How Women Lead podcast profile described her as holding a portfolio of more than 30 women-led companies. She has been an active member of the angel group Golden Seeds since 2015 and later served as Managing Director of its Silicon Valley chapter, and she is also a member of the Rising Tide angel investor programme. She was listed as a judge for San Francisco State University's Innovation Pitch Competition held in April 2026, where she is described as having been an active angel investor since 2014.
