Business angel; principal of the Hansmann Family Office - Hansmann Family Office
Johann “Hansi” Hansmann is an Austrian business angel who invests through the Hansmann Family Office, described on its own site as a first-generation entrepreneurial single family office. Austrian outlet brutkasten reported in September 2024 that the vehicle, also known as the Hans(wo)men Group, held roughly EUR 120 million under management across about 40 active startup investments, and that he had hired a small professional team to manage the portfolio. In the same interview he said “we are very active investors with a large portfolio” while noting he would eventually like to be less personally involved. He received a lifetime achievement award at the Austrian Business Angel of the Year 2023 awards. He remains active: he led the seed round of wealthtech startup WeR in June 2025 and invested a mid-six-figure sum in healthtech startup One100 in May 2026.
