Co-founder, Pareto Holdings - Pareto Holdings
Edward Lando is a co-founder of Pareto Holdings, an investment vehicle he created with Shutterstock founder Jon Oringer. He attended Wharton as an undergraduate and taught himself to code there, then co-founded GovPredict with Emil Pitkin, a company he describes as 'a Bloomberg for the government', which went through Y Combinator in Summer 2014. He later co-founded the gifting company Goody, which he ran for about a year and a half. Through Pareto he invests at very high volume - he has described investing 'a couple a week' and, in a 2024 interview, a portfolio approaching 1,000 companies with roughly 200 companies pre-seeded. Pareto also incubates companies directly, including the sales-tax software company Zamp and a robotics company, Kinesis. He is based in Miami, Florida.
